Survey of Devon's Voluntary and Community Sector
This questionnaire is being commissioned on behalf of the Devon Consortium, a group of support organisations for the voluntary sector. Consortium members feel that it is important to put together a well based picture of the voluntary sector in Devon. This will be invaluable when seeking to influence national and local government at this time of political and economic change. The Consortium will also use the results of this survey to find out the support and training needs of our sector, and how to fulfil those needs.
The results of this survey are being analysed by ekosgen, an independent consultant. You can be confident that any information you provide will be kept confidential. Your organisation or group will not be identifiable in the results or report. You will see that there is an opportunity to take part in a more in depth interview with ekosgen. If you would be willing to do this, please do make sure your contact details are given. Again it will only be ekosgen who have access to this information.
The Consortium will not be maintaining a central database as a result of this work, which is the reason you might receive more than one copy of this survey. Consortium members have been asked to distribute the survey to their own contacts, so duplication is inevitable. Please just ignore any duplicate copies you receive.
Also, if you know of any other groups in your area who might not have received an invitation to participate, please do forward a link to this questionnaire or ask them to request a copy via CCD's website www.ccd.org.uk.
Together we can provide a really full picture of the diversity, extent and huge value of the voluntary sector in Devon. This is a very good time to have such good information. We would be very grateful if you would take a few minutes to complete this survey.
Thank you.

Paid Staff and Volunteers
Please answer the remaining questions to the best of your knowledge.
Please note: - Please answer for your head office / base / shop / club / branch only. - Full-time equivalent employees is the number of full-time equivalent jobs. To calculate this, divide the total number of hours worked by all staff (part time and full time) in a week by 37.5. So if all staff work, on average 60 hours in a week, this equals 60/37.5 = 1.6 full time equivalent jobs.

Please can you tell us the approximate total number of volunteers, including committee / board members, that your organisation has?
